This is the easiest and hardest question to answer, and the truth is...we don't know? The Black Hills are one of the hardest places in the nation to reliably predict weather and temperatures.

Snow as late as June and as early as August? Yep! Shorts and flip flops on New Years Day? Yep! 100 plus degree days? Yep! 35 degrees below lows? Yep! Rain, hail, and wind? YEP, YEP, and YEP!

Our recommendation is that guests visiting the fall, winter, or spring be ready for all four seasons, and those visiting in the summer be prepared for 3. Our number one tip for guests coming in the summer is that hoodies are highly recommended piece of attire at night.

Lastly, check local weather forecasts for the exact places in the Hills that you plan to visit immediately before going.
